Hello,
My company is currently working on a new app that will be separate from our current app and also have different features/functionalities.
We want to use the name of the current app (V1) for the new app (V2), and change the name of the V1 to something else.
Are there any restrictions or waiting periods on whether we can change the V1's name to something else then use the V1 name on the V2?

Hello,
I am unable to complete my enrollment in the Apple Developer Program. I applied as an organization and provided my DUNS number for in Romanian company, but despite trying multiple credit cards during the payment step, Apple continues to show a message saying, "We will inform you within 2 business days. Thank you." However, I am not receiving any updates, and I am unable to complete the payment. I cannot figure out where the issue might be. Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue?
Thank you.
"Hi everyone! We've encountered an issue with uploading our app to the App Store. We received the Family Controls Distribution permission, updated the certificates and profiles, submitted it for review, but received feedback that the request simply doesn't appear for the moderators. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Our request is: try await center.requestAuthorization(for: .individual). We also confirmed that the device must have TouchID or FaceID installed."
Here is the message, that I received:
The seller and company names associated with your app do not reflect the name "Paycall" in the app or its metadata, as required by Guideline 5.2.1 of the App Review Guidelines.
To resolve this issue, your app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the Paycall name. If you have developed this app on behalf of a client, you may resubmit the app through their account, if they have one. You may also request an update to the company name on your account by having the Account Holder contact Apple Developer Support to request an update to the company name.
I already send a request to change a name of dev. account, but there is no reply for solid 4 days. We have a startup here, made on behalf of me and my friend, the launch of that being stopped by this situation. If you have same problem or know how to solve it, please let me know, thanks.
I have been working on a mobile app that I would like to upload on Apple console - pre order. The criteria for this is pretty much unclear. My team wants to use this pre order link for marketing, now I would like to know if I can publish a unfinished app on pre order to use it as marketing and then upload the completed app once we want to go live.
Please explain what should be the criteria, also can the app be uploaded it we only have the completed front-end

I would like to know if there is a limit to past information in the Look Up Order ID API.
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/look_up_order_id
I understand that you can also get information about users who deleted or reinstalled the app from the content of the document.
On the other hand, are there any temporal limits to the past?
For example, can the above API make requests for purchases made one year ago, five years ago, or ten years ago?
Very first app, rejected for Spam? It seems this is quite common. This 4.3 spam reason, generally means the app is considered low quality or it's already saturated, right?
There are only a handful of Free dinosaur sound apps, so I can't see the saturated reasoning.
My app arguably looks better and has a better UI, the rest are pretty dated or are pretty basic.
My app has a video for each dinosaur, with is unique to my app, compared to all the others.
All sounds are original, the rest use royalty free sources.
I'm really at a loss as to why it's considered spam, compared to what's already up there.
Any tips on how to get my app approved? I'm not exactly sure how to make it better or more unique than the competition.
Thanks
Good afternoon
The essence of the question: our product is written in .net maui (a framework for cross-platform development from microsoft), when we use the profile for development in the build and directly install the application on the iPhone, everything works fine. But if you take the same build with the same settings, replace the development profile with the distribution profile, assemble and send it to TestFlight, install it on the same iPhone - when the application is launched, a crash occurs.
Yes, we studied the logs, and at the moment we have come to the theory that maybe the main problem lies inside the maui framework, but still - why will the behavior of the application change so much when using different profiles? From full functionality when using the development profile, to crash at the start when using the distribution profile. What exactly changes when you change your profile? Is there any documentation on this topic? Or advice from those who are more knowledgeable about this topic?
Thanks in advance for any reply
In App Store Connect, I noticed my app has an unlisted link under the availability settings, but its review status is currently marked as rejected. Should I submit the app for review again? Any advice on the steps to take next?"
I'm experiencing an issue with the localization of subscription display names in my iOS app. I've set up both Japanese and English localizations for the subscription display names in App Store Connect. However, when I change the device's language, the display name does not update accordingly.
I've already checked the following:
Xcode Project Settings: Ensured that the target's localization settings seem correct, and checked that the Info.plist contains appropriate keys for localization.
App Store Connect: Verified that the subscription localizations are properly added with the correct titles and descriptions for each language.
Device Cache: Restarted the device to clear any potential caching issues.
Device Language and Region: Made sure the device settings were fully applied.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I would appreciate any insights or guidance on resolving this problem.
Good day,
My app got rejected because i had wallet + swap (trading) inside.
now i removed trading option from my app and i kept wallet only, is this still require special license for having crypto wallet to send/receive token over blockchains ?
i hope my app will be approved now, because i removed trading (exchange) option from it.
Thanks for your time!
Regards,
Hi
I got below email from app store after publishing. We have built UI and UX from scratch without copying from 3rd Party. Can you please help me how to check below issues.
The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading content. Specifically, the app includes content that resembles Khichiq without the necessary authorization.
Next Steps
Please demonstrate your relationship with any third-party brand owners represented in the app.
We have an app that we have grown and we are at the point where we want to monetize it. The app is a way for businesses to list their services and the users can then find the businesses. The app has two account classes - one of regular, individual users, and another for businesses. We want to charge the businesses for the use of certain app features beyond a free tier.
https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#acceptable
Specifically:
3.1.3(e) Goods and Services Outside of the App: If your app enables people to purchase physical goods or services that will be consumed outside of the app, you must use purchase methods other than in-app purchase to collect those payments, such as Apple Pay or traditional credit card entry.
We will be offering certain physical services on some of our plans, but not all of our plans. Does this mean that we will be required to use in-app purchases versus redirecting to our website so that the business can sign up via credit card?
3.1.3(c) Enterprise Services: If your app is only sold directly by you to organizations or groups for their employees or students (for example professional databases and classroom management tools), you may allow enterprise users to access previously-purchased content or subscriptions. Consumer, single user, or family sales must use in-app purchase.
We will only be charging businesses (enterprises) for the use of the app, and it will be used by their employees. However we also want to automate the signup of businesses for the app. Does this mean that if we automate the signup, we must allow for in-app purchases?
If we use any sort of external payment link, they we MUST request an external purchase link entitlement from apple, correct?
Hello again , i'm Enrik Sulaj .How can i find how to solve the problem ? Its almost impossible to solve by just guessing it . The app review need to be specific too .They just say "we cant provide" , how can i find the problem by myself if they created it and cant give me specified proof that i violated 4.3.0 Design-Spam ? If i did something it need facts to be proven . If there are no facts , there is not a problem . If there is a problem , with full details which object is duplicated it will be fixed soon . But there is not facts , not proofs , not a single detail , just random things . My 2 games are taking longer time waiting to be published , but apple review team reject games with not an single detail how to fix . The just keep rejecting without showing facts , real reasons and without giving helpful support .I disagree with their decision .
My application allows to upload photo logs and assign it to a person only by uploading images from camera. In the process it asks for camera and geolocation permissions. At this moment it doesn't do much. Why could this be happening?
Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
The app collects information from various public sources to build individual profiles.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please remove any feature that attempts to build individual profiles based on collected public data.
Hello,
We offer our clients tickets for monuments along with an audio guide included with the ticket purchase. Our clients buy their visit in advance, which includes access to audio and video content available through our application. To access this content, the user must enter their ticket number.
We believe we fit perfectly into the "Reader App" category, as specified in section 3.1.3(a) of the guidelines, which states:
"Apps may allow a user to access previously purchased content or content subscriptions (specifically: magazines, newspapers, books, audio, music, and video)."
This is exactly our case.
We have sent several messages presenting precise and concrete arguments based on the guidelines, but it seems that these arguments are not taken into account, as the responses we receive are often general or appear to be standard replies.
Since our application allows a user to access content they have previously purchased, can we indeed be classified in the "Reader App" category? If not, could you explain why?
Thank you for your help.
We submitted a non-renewing subscription with a new version for first time review.
After submitting the version the status changed to "Waiting for review" and the "In-App purchase" section disappeared.
Though we had a lot of trouble with the review process I wonder if this is "normal" or if something went wrong.
My question: Is it normal that the in-App purchase section is not visible while a Version is waiting for review?
I submitted an app for review and it was rejected. The reason:
"We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.
Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps."
I wrote to Apple, for first we developed the App on another Developer-Account until got my own developer account. Apple replied they can't give any information about other developer account.
Currently i got no useful informations how i can solve this problem. any suggestions or ideas?
tanks a lot
I'm attempting to add a sandbox user to test web Apple Pay. Accessing Users and Access -> Sandbox gives me more often than not the error: "Something went wrong. Try again later." Attempting to add a new tester gives me the same error. I've been trying this since yesterday, so it's more than a transient error.
