Migration of users after an app has been transferred to a new organization
Our company was re-formed under a new name. Rather than rename the organization on the App Store, we were advised by support to create a new organization and then transfer the app to that organization, which we have done. Our app implements Apple Authentication. We did not not migrate the users of the app (as instructed here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sign_in_with_apple/transferring_your_apps_and_users_to_another_team) Is it possible to now migrate the users, after the app has been transferred? Our attempt to get an authorization token with scope "user.migration" results in HTTP error 400 with body: "invalid_client".

How to distinguish between subscription purchases made through the app and directly from the App Store
We are wondering if it is possible to distinguish between purchases made through our app and those made directly from the App Store in the subscription process. Does the API information such as Server notifications v2 and Get All Subscription Statuses contain information that can distinguish between these cases? If not, we are thinking of using the appAccountToken included in JWSTransaction to distinguish between them. We are aware that appAccountToken is set when an appAccountToken or applicationUsername is given to an app when purchasing a subscription. Therefore, we believe that the appAccountToken of JWSTransaction is not set when you purchase a subscription directly from the App Store. We think that by setting the appAccountToken for purchases made through our app, we can distinguish whether the subscription was purchased directly from the App Store or not, but is this an appropriate way to do so? Please let us know if there is a case where the appAccountToken is set even if the subscription was purchased directly from the App Store. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/appaccounttoken

PLEASE HELP!!! Crimean Tatar language!
Hello, we are in the final stages of developing our app and want to ask for some clarifications. Our app is a non-commercial, educational and free project. It is created in Crimean Tatar language, which may be difficult for you to understand during the checking of application, because it is not available in online translators. Therefore, we want to get information in advance about all the things you need in order to successfully validate on your platform and make our app available to everyone. This is an audio guide about Crimea. The purpose of the app is to provide basic historical knowledge about the architecture and history of the Crimean Tatars. Crimean Tatars are the indigenous people of Crimea and this app is type of a local product. The app is created in the Crimean Tatar language, which is on the UNESCO list of endangered languages. By creating this product we are also trying to support the development of our language. We are very interested in opening access to the application as soon as possible, and we are open to contact and ready to provide the necessary information. Please can you tell us if there is anything else we need to provide when we submit the application for review?

When I will receive the App Store Server notification?
I'm migrating my app to Store Kit V1, to Store Kit V2, and, due some legacy circumstances I'm implemented in past using a synchronous method, calling verify receipt on my server to validate receipt and do the needed business logic, but due to the deadline I changed the entire app integration and some questions starting to appear in my mind. First of all, when I processing the purchase when basically I will receive the notification? When the Store Kit calls the transaction.finish or after the purchase was successful I always will receive this notification?

In-App Purchase Review Delaying App Release - Next Steps?
Our submitted binary app version has been approved by Apple reviewers. It's currently pending Developer Release. However, our in-app purchase, which was submitted at the same time, is still under review. Since the newly added in-app purchase hasn't been approved yet, we've decided to hold off on releasing the binary app version. Should we just wait for Apple to approve the in-app purchase, or are there any other recommended actions? Thank you.

Un-Publish an app
Hello, We have an application within our tenant. It is still visible in the iOS and iPadOS App Store as a downloadable and usable application. However, we want to unpublish it because it is no longer managed. To do this, I have specifically subscribed to a Developer account with my account so that I can connect to App Store Connect and perform this task. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to do so because the application does not appear in my "apps." The Apps tab displays "you haven't added any apps yet. To get started, click add apps." I thought that by connecting my email enterprise address, I would be able to find the application and unpublish it, but it seems that since I was not the one who originally published it, I cannot see it. Could you help me so that I can perform this task? The person who published the app is no longer part of our company, so we cannot ask them to "transfer the rights" of the application. Thank you in advance.

Somebody is downloading all the old versions of our apps
Hello, we found something odd happening to at least 3 of our apps (we have 6 total) at App Store: in the statistics provided by App Store Connect we can see that somebody is downloading all the old versions of our app on their Desktop (another odd thing, our apps are intended for iOS, meaning iPad/iPhone, not MacOS desktops) Couple of questions: how is it even possible, to download an old version of somebody else's app? have you ever seen this with your or somebody else's apps? We have already contacted Apple Support, they said they will investigate it, but we have not heard anything back from them thanks!

Subscriptions for teams (in-app purchase)
Is it possible - in appstore - to create a subscriptions model similar to what microsoft teams and google workspace has for team memberships? We want to have a subscription price per user per month (or year). Administrator should be able to add additional users (and add a subscription for the new users) - It doesn't seem to be possible - only option is to have prefix subscriptions with 5 users, 10user, 15 users etc. (we've also looked into consumables - but the lack the option to be reoccurring payments) Thanks in advance?

App store connect API returns 401 Sandbox and 404 Production
I also still getting the same error from sandbox "x": "Invalid response: Client error: GET https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/2000000632845273 resulted in a 401 Unauthorized response", while for production url "x": "Invalid response: Client error: GET https://api.storekit.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/2000000632845273 resulted in a 404 Not Found response:\n{"errorCode":4040010,"errorMessage":"Transaction id not found."}\n",

What are some other actionable items I can do, so that I can get through "Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam" app update rejection?
I have an app which is in the app store since 2022. It is an app with combined features of note taking, todo list and calendar. My most recent app update is rejected with the following message. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality. Resources Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include: Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts Learn more about our requirements to prevent spam in App Review Guideline 4.3(a). Support Reply to this message in your preferred language if you need assistance. If you need additional support, use the Contact Us module. Consult with fellow developers and Apple engineers on the Apple Developer Forums. Help improve the review process or identify a need for clarity in our policies by suggesting guideline changes. I reply the reviewer with the following message. Hi, I am writing to appeal the rejection of my app, ***. I would like to emphasize the unique aspects of *** that distinguish it from other apps in the market: Integrated Functionality: Unlike most apps that are standalone note-taking, to-do, or calendar apps, *** uniquely combines all three functions into a single app. Extensive Calendar Features: *** includes a comprehensive calendar feature covering holidays in 250 countries and 3,680 states and provinces, a rare and valuable feature. Chinese Lunar Calendar: Our app includes a Chinese Lunar Calendar, which is highly appreciated in the Taiwanese market, adding a culturally specific feature not commonly found in other apps. Organizational Tools: *** allows unlimited tabs and colors for organizing notes, surpassing many competitors who offer limited color options. Flexible Viewing and Sorting Modes: Users can choose from four viewing modes (Grid, Compact Grid, List, Compact List) and five sorting modes (Modified Time, Created Time, Alphabet, Color, Check, Reminder), enhancing the user experience by providing flexibility and customization. No Character Limit: Our design supports notes of any length without character limitations, unlike many apps that impose restrictions. Organized To-Do Lists: Completed to-do items are automatically moved to the bottom, keeping the list clean and organized, a feature that sets us apart from other apps. Rich Attachments: *** supports unlimited picture attachments, drawing attachments, and voice recordings for notes, offering more versatility than many other apps. Advanced Security: *** offers 3 different kinds of password lock mechanisms to protect note privacy, ensuring users have multiple options for securing their information. Powerful Reminders: Our app includes highly customizable reminders that can repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, making it easy for users to stay on top of their tasks and appointments. Due to the character limits of this form, I cannot list all the unique features of ***. Please refer to our product description for a comprehensive overview. We are proud of our 5k user reviews with an average rating of 4.8, reflecting user satisfaction with ***'s unique features. Here's are some of the recent reviews. (United states only. Please kindly contact me to obtain full list of the reviews) by ??? – Jun 14, 2024 omg i cannot explain how much i love *** like unlike the boring notes app this one is actually fun to use and rlly easy and i rlly like the fonts, color, to do list, calandar that can remind you like every day, week, month, and year like omg?!?!? i love *** and this app is going in like my "I 💖U" folder like tysm for making *** idk what i would do without it like omg tysm i cant explain in words how much i love it💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 by ??? – May 12, 2024 I love it sooo much I give it a 5 because there is a password so no one can look by ??? – Apr 30, 2024 Perfect app. All in one by ??? – Mar 26, 2024 I just downloaded this app a few days ago and I love it!! 😃 Up til recently I ALWAYS used paper sticky notes that I would have on my desk - and the reason why is because I could see everything all at once at all times; it’s very convenient - but it also produces clutter and anxiety because every subject is all in one place. *** fixed that!! 😀 With tabs and the list or grid view mode, I can have more organization of subjects and still see almost everything all at once! I love it! 🤩 suggestion I would really love to have more format options for the text! 🙂 Like a button to indent, and be able to have sub notes with points, dashes, or numbers. It makes everything look more tidy and neat. Thank you for this wonderful app! 😆 I am available at 123-456-789 to discuss further and provide additional detail. Thank you. Till to date, I haven't received reply from the reviewer. May I know, what are some other actionable items I can do, so that I can get through "Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam" app update rejection? Thank you so much!

Generating Tokens for API Requests
JWT header { "alg": "ES256", "kid": "2X9R4HXF34", "typ": "JWT" } JWT payload { "iss": "57246542-96fe-1a63-e053-0824d011072a", "iat": 1528407600, "exp": 1528408800, "aud": "appstoreconnect-v1", "scope": [ "GET /v1/apps?filter[platform]=IOS" ] } JWT { "alg": "ES256", "kid": "private key", "typ": "JWT" } I would like to find out how to calculate the "iat" and "exp" for the current time by using swift mathematical calculations if possible. I want to find out how to sign the JWT with my private key after I download it, to find out how to create a JWT that would receive a HTTP Status Code 200 OK response from the Terminal.App . I received a 401 error not authorized response and to provide a proper JWT token that has not expired after my first attempt on this a application programming interface, I want to find where to place my private key if not in the "kid" ? Kind Regards

Does the app using the API provided by the Coin Exchange pass the App Store review?
Hello, I'm trying to create an app. I'm thinking of an app that can make coin trading convenient. I'm not a cryptocurrency exchange, I'm just trying to use the API provided by the exchange. Do these app violate Apple review guidelines?? As for the app function The user enters the API Key of the exchange. I want to make it easy to provide users with various and convenient transactions through the API Key input. Does the app using the API provided by the Coin Exchange pass the App Store review? I don't see any related apps.. Was it all rejected in the App Store review?? Does the app I think violate the policy below? 3.1.5 Cryptocurrencies: (iii) Exchanges: Apps may facilitate transactions or transmissions of cryptocurrency on an approved exchange, provided they are offered only in countries or regions where the app has appropriate licensing and permissions to provide a cryptocurrency exchange. (iv) Initial Coin Offerings: Apps facilitating Initial Coin Offerings (“ICOs”), cryptocurrency futures trading, and other crypto-securities or quasi-securities trading must come from established banks, securities firms, futures commission merchants (“FCM”), or other approved financial institutions and must comply with all applicable law.

renewals showing up as activations in App Store Connect?
Anyone else seeing renewals show up as activations for auto-renewing subscriptions in App Store Connect? Our app is almost 2 months old on the App Store and we have had monthly subscriptions starting to sell almost on day one so we've had one full subscription monthly cycle go by for a bunch of our paid users. We noticed though that after 4-5 weeks, there was only one subscription renewal shown but we also were't seeing cancellations or a drop in our subscriber numbers. We just kept seeing more activations. Now at the 8 week mark we are very sure that renewals are showing as activations instead since our subscriber numbers aren't tanking, but instead slowly climbing, and we've only had a handful of renewals or cancellations. We'll see say 10 subscription activations in a day but then our total paid subscriber numbers only go up by 5, so once again, assuming 5 are actually renewals and not activations. We do see refunds but at the exact same time as a longer subscription period sells so assuming an upgrade and the total paid subscribers doesn't go down. Supposedly our retention rate is 2% but that doesn't seem to match our subscriber numbers at all. Assume this is due to renewals being counted as activations instead. We are NOT using server side validation or tracking of sales, using StoreKit to validate on device and unlock features. So all of this is from the App Store Connect web site. None of this is really an issue right this moment but longer term we'd like to better understand how our retention is going vs new sales. Are we just misunderstanding what the categories mean? We assume this isn't an issue with how we implemented StoreKit in the app but maybe it is? Thanks! Colin

Cancel Subscriptions on Behalf of Customer like Netflix (App Store Server API)
I recently had a request from a Product Owner to implement capability like Netflix has to enable users to switch their payment method from App Store Subscription to Credit Card on our website, as per capability that Netflix has in their account management portal. We tested it today with a colleague who was paying for Netflix through iOS in-app subscription: In the Netflix account management pages it showed that he was currently paying via In App Subscription He updated his payment method to Credit Card in their website's account management portal. Almost immediately after adding his Credit Card in his iOS Subscription Management settings (we could see the the subscription had been set to no longer renew, with an expiry date) How is this done - I can't see any API in App Store Server API documentation that gives us a way of cancelling / preventing renewal of subscriptions on behalf of a user... But Netflix can clearly do it somehow...

How to get on the front page of the visionOS App Store?
I released a visionOS native app, and am about to release an update. Problem is, even with keywords and whatnot, my app can't be found on the App Store unless you search it by name. It's not discoverable at all. It doesn't show up in any lists, not even what's new. It seems Search Ads are only for iOS and iPad, so I can't even buy help. What can I do to reach people? How can I at least get on the what's new list for visionOS?
