I installed xcode 16 and both Predictive Code Completion Model and iOS 18.0 Simulator Failed Download.
I can live without the code completion, but I can not get any Simulator to install.
I clicked of the info button and it shows the following:

I recently upgraded my Mac to Sequoia 15.0 (24A335) so I had to upgrade Xcode & command line tools to 16. I need command line tools 15 also on the mac due to some of the legacy projects depending on it. I want to install command line tools 15 and choose it in the Settings-->Location, but Xcode doesn't display "Command line tools 15" although i download & install from https://developer.apple.com/download/all/
I have an developer account and I want to delete it.How do I do that?
Dear Developers,
Am facing this issue on my production app.
Tried everything. Removed almost everything and tested the app. Even then this issue happens.
The unity games, am talking about are the slow and sluggish types, which feel like 30 fps and after returning from them, my app sounds slow and feels a little bit sluggish. As soon as i lock/unlock the device , it becomes perfectly fine.
Even i was debugging with xcode, i had the issue, then i rebuild the app in xcode and opening it on device, the same issue. As soon as i locked the device or opened siri with lockbutton or moved to a native app, and came back, app is completely fine.
Craziest issue, i have ever seen.
Though killing the app and opening it again on iphone also works.
Only anxiety is that maybe my users when returning from other slow 3rd party games which are my competitors might slow down the experience.
I have tried almost everything in my app, removed all functions and just ran sounds. Retried with different ways of playing sounds. Nothing works.
Dont know it is a frame rate issue, because i replaced all my animations causing framerate not to cross 60fps even then didnt work.
Device on which am testing is Iphone 14 pro max.
Hello everyone,
Ever since installing macOS 15.1 beta 5 on this M1 13’’ MacBook Pro, I have been unable to install or update any application from the Mac App Store. I keep getting the following error: “The file “preflight.pfpkg” doesn’t exist.””. The same machine was fine with 15.0 Sequoia and the problem happens regardless of the region setting of the machine.
The machine has at least 148 GB of free disk space on the SSD. The same app I was trying to install from the MAS app I could install from the provider’s website (WhatsApp in this case, but I have tried with other apps too).
Has anyone noticed it before?

I had iPhone Mirroring in MacOS 15 working, but something glitched on my iPhone and I had to perform a "Reset All Settings" and now I can no longer connect to my iPhone. I assume that some key has been cached when I connected initially, but I can't figure out how to reset the connection. Does anybody have any suggestion as to how to reset the connection?
I have updated my firebase with the latest version, but on simulator, apple log in and parsing from firebase server is not working on iOS 18 when working fine on the actual test device. However iOS 17 simulator works perfect as X-Code 15.
And previews are not working as well with my current app coding, which was coded in previous X-code 15.
Is there any API changes? Any help?
Or 18.1 might fix this bug?
I’d like to migrate my watchOS app (bundled with an iOS app) from a dual-target to a single-target setup. I remember Xcode used to have a menu item (Editor -> Validate Settings) that would prompt you to initiate the migration process. However, I can’t seem to find a ‘Validate Settings’ option in the latest Xcode 16. Has "Validate Settings" been removed in xcode16 ?
Thanks!
I have a normal UIKit project with a package dependency containing some SwiftUI. Opening the package on its own, I can preview the SwiftUI. However, when I have the package as a dependency, I get the dreaded message saying Active scheme does not build this file regardless of choosing the app or package scheme.
Why can't I get a preview?
Using Xcode 16
Bonjour,

Hi everyone,
I recently made a purchase for my Apple Developer Account, and while I can see the transaction in my bank and have also received an email confirmation from Apple, my account status is still showing “In Progress” after almost 5 days.
What’s worrying me is that some of my friends/colleagues who made the payment at the same time got their accounts activated almost immediately, while mine is still stuck. I’ve already reached out to Apple Support, but so far, I haven’t had any luck resolving the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Is there anything specific I should do, or should I just keep waiting it out?
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!
Best,
Erris

I test my app, by building it and hoping it will go on my iOS. This is the only workflow I have to test my testing app.
I use AVAudioEngine and AVAudioSession. It sounds painful but, yes. I literally comment out parts and build the app everytime and see if it would crash or not.
Sometimes I'd get Crash Logs in the Analytics part, but I haven't managed to get them there anymore. So I had no more Crash Logs.
I was wondering if there's a function or something. Maybe something that I can do in AppDelegate to make it create a Crash Log somewhere?
Uncaught Exception overwrite, didn't solve the issue for me. It really has to be an actual crash log, something that catches these.
If someone knows, let me know! Thanks

I installed Xcode version 16 from the App Store on my new Macbook Pro this month to use the iOS simulator. When browsing with Safari on the iOS Simulator, an internal Webkit error or a Webkit networking error occurs and it does not work properly. Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

I am new. I have never used Swift nor XCode or the CLI. But I have found and managed to test my App that I created for testing on my iPhone.
I have absolutely no intentions to put it on the App Store. I even made it Open-Source on GitHub.
I learned a lot of things and ways to prevent crashes, but unfortunately I am slowly starting to lose the ability to put my App on my iOS.
I am new here as a developer. But I have troubles to create a Developer Account, so I am not sure what I should do.
Here's what I think I am having issues with:
I feel like you can only create a Developer Account if you have a business, is this true?
I really find it cool to test my own App on my own phone. But I want to do it in an official way. But I don't know how.
Others have told me that you'd need a License for the App Store. But I am not trying to put it on the App Store, will this make it impossible for me to test my own app?
Why make an app if not putting it on the App Store?
You can learn. If you make good Apps or Libraries, you can provide them to other Developers! Maybe even an opportunity to collab with someone and even indeed put it on the App Store with a valid Developer Account.
Seriously, if I wouldn't have been able to test my iOS app through other ways on my iPhone, I'd have never been able to make a short breakdown about AVAudioEngine and AVAudioSession. I've seen people that have run into these crashes. I tried to look up for a fix, but found none.
I saw apps that allowed you to use a Microphone on a Laptop/PC and I decided to make my own one to test, and succeded, while I yet need to figure out a few crashes, I managed to do it, and I really want to continue and actually use my own App...
So I was really happy that I could make a post to provide a guide in hopes that it would help someone. And I would do more, but I really need help with figuring out how I can test my own app on my own phone.
I hope that Developer Relations can help with this.
