Messages have disappeared after the iOS 18 b 3 update. It isn’t even shown as an option. Where did it go and when do we get it back?

If you have locked or hidden the Messages app (https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/lock-or-hide-or-an-app-iph00f208d05/ios), this is expected. Locked and hidden apps are not available in CarPlay.
