I am the author of Notepad - software, a developer from Chinese Mainland. I try to put my Ndd software on the Apple Mall. I have failed to register for an Apple developer account multiple times. I recently purchased a new Apple Pro, but I still failed to register for an Apple developer account.
The explanation given to me by Chinese customer service is that there is no explanation, anyway your account cannot be successful. You can only purchase a new machine and try registering again.
Why is this happening? I think Apple's developer registration is unfair and democratic for developers in Chinese Mainland. Currently, China is still a third world country, and many ordinary people are not wealthy. As an ordinary developer, we not only have to bear the expensive Apple hardware (due to tariffs). I did not receive fair treatment from Apple regarding the registration of developers.
I hope Apple can relax the conditions for the review of Apple developers in Chinese Mainland. Because of network reasons, as well as hardware tariffs, it is already more difficult for us to register an Apple developer account. Now we have to face a more demanding and opaque developer review mechanism. Apple developers in China will face greater difficulties. This is not in line with the spirit of democracy and freedom in the United States, nor with Apple's image.
It is hoped that Apple can comprehensively lower the review conditions for individual developers in Chinese Mainland. At least one person, if they purchase a new Apple computer, can be granted the right to develop a developer account by default! Isn't it? I am an Apple user and I have purchased a new Apple computer. Why not give me the right to treat Apple developers?
I believe I am not the first person to encounter this problem, but I hope Apple can change and treat Chinese developers fairly.
