Having issues authorizing payment for Apple Developer Program

Hey guys

I’ve been trying to pay for Apple Developer Program enrollment for about a week and still no luck. As well as I got from a small talk with the customer support – Apple never got my money. So it seems like my payment authorization fails all the time. But I don’t know what’s really going on.

Have any of you ever had issues like that?

Or maybe you just know what’s going on and how to fix it?

We do accept Russian credit cards to pay for the Apple Developer Program. If you've been unable to complete your order, please reach out to Apple Developer Program Support for assistance. Please note that you may be asked to provide verification details as part of the order completion process. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.

Hi!

Do you have problems now?

I have same problem.

I changed six cards, but nothing...

A month has passed.

We are still in the process of reviewing payments for the Apple Developer Program internally. You'll be notified of the information they provide once it becomes available.

Hello,

Will Apple solve this problem? why is a simple payment taking so long?

Does anyone have information?

even I have the same probelm. created 2 accounts and tried 4-5 credit cards. the bank has no problem from there end. apple support is pretty slow on this. as I can see their many thousands of dev having a problem with this. apple should help us. on this. there is no proper solution.

I have been having the same issue. I have been in touch with apple support for the last 7 days (even provided them with screen recordings to assure them that i know how to pay for things online). I find the whole interaction with Apple Support to be extremely frustrating. Some of the questions i have had to endure - "what browsers have you tried? have you tried using safari, what version of safari? what mac os do you have? are you on wifi, do you have a firewall?"

Just to debunk all their theories about all the things that I could be doing wrong to give them my money - I successfully bought an app on their app store using the same credit card! - the exact same credit card fails "authorization" when trying to pay for the dev license!

I hope someone at Apple is reading this... and will commit to fixing this issue.

Meanwhile if anyone has had a breakthrough kindly share.

Hello everyone, ** My developer account was approved ** after so much trying. I made the report through the support form, when the apple specialist contacted me through the mail, he told me to use another payment method and create another account, I answered them about the case email and thanks to that we started a thread of emails, when I tried with another account and card they validated that in their system they could not make the surcharge to my credit card. So they sent me the data to make an international transfer (WIRE Transfer) that cost me a total of $ 153.00 for the charge of the procedure that I received The bank in my country (Panama) charged the payment I made yesterday and today they already sent me the notification of access to the platform. I hope the information works for you

Could you please tell the bank details of Apple so that we could send?

Thank you so much

I am from Las Vegas, USA and facing same problem.

Tried 3 different cards and bank of america says there is no problems with card at all.

Hope apple solve this issues asap.

2/1/2020, 3am CST... Just tried it. Same issue still. Pretty bad. Tried 3 devices and 3 types of cards.

Okay this saga continues. I FINALLY found a support advisor, who seems to actually listen (for a change) and be open to the possibility that there is something wrong on Apple's side. Thus far, everyone at apple has the attitude "there must be something wrong with what you are doing, because we are flawless and perfect". I sent them the receipt for the app i bought on the app store using the exact same credit card and billing details.

So now, they are willing to take the fees via phone. This took more than 10 days + several emails + hours on the phone + tons of frustration to accomplish. It's a real shame that a trillion dollar company has such big customer service issues - what kills me is that i am trying to GIVE them money and they are making it SO HARD to do!

I have the same problem. I've tried paying for weeks, but it's all useless. Let's share our expirience and try to solve the prob;em together. I've created the telegram chat especially for this problem appledevaccountsdiscussion. Can you please share the expirience of fails and wins of Apple Developer Programm so we could combine all the necessary information and help each other!

Not a renewal. New sign up payment process. email is xxxxxxxxxxx@icloud.com I called and someone had to manually input my card in over the phone on the back end. I still want this bug resolved for everyone who is unable to pay for their development program enrollment.

That's something new. Check AppleDevAccouts discussion on Telegram. Please, share you story there, so we could discuss it and hlp each other

Hi everyone! I'm happy to say that I FINALLY managed to enroll/purchase a Developer Account and submit my app for review to the App Store. I went through the same tiresome **** as most people in the comments, but I finally found a solution.

The problem: I'm from India. I tried enrolling for the Developer Account and paying using my Indian credit card (through which I've bought iOS apps etc. in the past). It kept saying "payment is processing", but the card was never charged, payment didn't go through and I didn't receive any updates from Apple for 48 hours. I tried two other cards, but nope. I called Apple Support, and from that point on till almost two weeks later, I was in a constant email back-and-forth spree with them. I don't want to bore you guys with all the details, but this is basically what Apple Support suggested and why it wasn't feasible:

1. Card/bank issue - nope, I checked with my bank, and I've used the same card for previous international/Apple purchases.

2. Using a different card - I tried 3 cards of 3 different people and 3 different banks - all failed.

3. Apple ID issue, use a different account - bad solution, I want everything under one Apple ID!

4. Creating a new Apple ID - need to enable 2FA, for which we need to login to an Apple device, meaning signing out of that device and messing up iCloud, apps, photos, ugh - no way.

5. Using someone else's account: clearly doesn't make sense either.

The solution: so anyway, what seems to have finally worked was using a US-based credit card. Luckily, I had a friend residing in San Jose (very close to Apple headquarters) who was nice enough to lend me her credit card info. I used her US card and the payment finally went through. I received many more emails from Apple this time, notifying me about the payment being processed, card being charged etc. which I never received in my previous tries. I was asked to provide some government identification, which I did, and bam - it went through, I got a Developer Account, accessed App Store Connect, submitted my app for review and now it's under the review process.

I know this isn't ideal or secure, but it worked for me and so far seems to be the best solution so far. Until this $1T tech behemoth acknowledges that their payment system is broken and realizes how important it is for developers to purchase an account to make some meaning out of their hard work, we don't have many options.

Please click "This helped me" if my solution works for you, so that others can see it, purchase an account and get on with their lives. Thank you.

Hi, I've been struggling with this for months and really need your help 😟 Did you also use your friend's information to fill in the dev profile? I thought Apple requires the card owner's name must be similar to your profile? And may I ask what kind of government identification they required?
